Gold Smelting Process: Chapter Breakdown (Alluvial gold & Nuggets)
⛏️ 1. Arrival & Verification
Alluvial gold and natural nuggets arrive under secure chain-of-custody protocols. Each batch is inspected for origin, authenticity, and physical integrity, with documentation reviewed to ensure ethical sourcing.
🔬 2. Assay & Purity Assessment
Collected material undergoes precise assay testing to determine gold content, trace metals (such as silver, bronze, copper or platinum), and any residual sediment or organic matter typical of alluvial sources.
♨️ 3. Smelting & Impurity Removal
The gold is introduced into a high-temperature furnace. Controlled heating melts the nuggets and alluvial particles, allowing separation of impurities and sediment as slag. The molten gold is collected for further refinement.
🧪 4. Sampling & Quality Control
Refined gold is sampled and tested to confirm a minimum purity of 97%, suitable for trade and compliant with regional export standards. Results are benchmarked against conflict-free sourcing and due diligence protocols.
📦 5. Casting & Export Preparation
The smelted gold is cast into 1kg bars, weighed, and securely packaged. Export documentation is finalized, and the product is transferred under secure protocols to authorized logistics partners.
